Hello
everybody! …long time no fresh lines in here
A busy
summer at my home, Mt Falkert is done. I was running our Alpine
Restaurant - a lot of work but fun!
Beside that I was trying to keep my body in shape and spend lots of time with
trail running, biking and for sure hunting.
Since June
I got now support by ALTIS SportsMedicine, a sports medical center in Althofen
– Carinthia. After back problems thru the hole last year I tried to find the
best place to get in shape for the upcoming season and I found it! I am working
out with my physio Mario Karbon up to three times a week. I really would like
to say thank you to Mr. Doz.Dr. Lajtai and the ALTIS team, boys - Mario, Uwe and
Koppe you are the best and make the work out so much fun!!!

The Grand Targhee, WY USA Feb 22, 2008
HEY everybody from the Grand Targhee back country in Wyoming USA!
I have been here now for one week and we worked on my Nike ACG sweetspot with the boys from Level1 film productions.
After some very lame days at the beginning of the trip, because my luggage arrived 3 days late, we got now 6 days of blue bird. The snow was "okay" and we got much fun riding our sleds to find the perfect locations, and we did!

I am super stocked that my sweetspot finally turned perfect and I enjoyed it to be out there with super strong riders like Tanner Rainville, Wiley Miller, Steel Spence ect., Hell Yeah!!!

Tomorrow I will be back on my way home and leave the great and beautiful Teton Valley.

so, work is done at home, it was a pretty bussy time but nice :-)
just preparing the stuff for heading to the staats on tuesday the 8th for the world tour mammoth quest
we will first ski around lake tahoe for a couple of days before going to the comp in mammoth
i am looking forward to a really cool trip with luke and hauni and I am super motivated to ride strong at the first big event of the season 08
will be back on the 20th, have fun and enjoy the snow :-)

I already got some perfect days of skiing on the Arlberg last week and I was pretty bussy with shootings. I did some epic shoots with Peter Mathis, it was just awesome to ski with my buddys and work with one of the best photographers!!! Pics will be online soon :-)

I am here now the second week and I love it, it is all about surfing, sleeping and having good food... I like!
Before I have been for 3 weeks in Wanaka, New Zealand at the Nike ACG House, after poor snow conditions in the beginning of the trip we were lucky and got about 50 cm of fresh powder.... yeeahhh budddyyy! I have been for some filming and shooting with the boys from the MAG "Skier NZ" and we did some nice shoots and got some awesome days on the mountains, have a look!

Wha' up fallas?!
Hope everybody is fine and enjoy the summer! I am at home and spending my time with biking and climbing to get ready for the upcoming trip to New Zealand. Leaving from Klagenfurt on the 30th of July to Wanaka for 4 weeks, going for some filming, shooting stills and as well compete at the NZ FREESKI OPEN at the end of august. On the way home I am planing to drop by my friends Bine and Alex, they are running the Chillhous at Bali, a great place to chill and surf. Yeah, life is good.
Sponsoring NEWS: I will stay with ATOMIC for an other year, Hermann left, so there is some more space for me ;-)

Sorry for the late update of my news section but I am still on the road.
I have been up here in Scandinavia now for two weeks and it seems like the weather god is again not very friendly with us...
First I have been to the Arctix competition in Norway and in 10 days we got more or less two "ridabel" days... The organizers (thx for the great time!) tried to do what they can! At least on the last day we got a competion, cause of the bad weather they have to choose a face at the very bottom of the mountain.... After two runs in the trees I did the 7th place, for deatails please contact me ;-)
On this place lots of greetz to my friend Jon Örabäck, which got hurt very badly during a "free" riding session it the trees.
Dude u will rock soon!!!
Now I am in Riskgränsen/Sweden for filming with Sverre Lillequist for our Nike ACG Sweet Spot, but weather still sucks, now it is raining since two days... yeah, thats how it is, we will see.
From the 21st to 29th of April I am going to take part at a boattrip through the fjords of Norway with Sverre and Kaj Zackrisson, I am super stocked to be with them, and I looking forward to have some very nice moments! YYYYYEEEAAHHHHHRRR

After weeks of depressed sitting at home and waiting for snow winter is on now, so let the energy flow!
I just got back home to carinthia last night from the Red Bull Tribalquest in Nendaz/CH.
So now, sitting on my desk, with a beautiful view on the snow covered Nocky Mountains I find some time to report what happen and what will happen in the upcoming weeks.
I am happy, after canceling Engadin Snow Contest, I went last week to my fist competition this winter to the O'neill Freeride Quest in Schruns/AUT, witch is the qualification for the Freeride Quest in Flain. These 2 stops are part of the Nissan Freeride Tour, witch ends up with the legendary Verbier Xtreme in March.
The snow conditions in Schruns were poor last week, but the contest was on, and everyone was motivated for sure!
After raining on the day before to 3000m and a clear night, conditons were a kind of tricky ;-)
At the morning session riders become selected for the finals in the afternoon, let me say there were some very strong riders at the stage.
With sun the snow becomes better in the afternoon, we started to hike up to the top of the Hochjoch, the final face.
I was real focused and relaxed that day so I selected a quite fluid line and just try to have fun, yeeaahh and it worx, it was fun shreddin' down with these hard conditions. So I did the third place and got the ticket to Flain 8.-9. Feb., I am so happy to start the first competition like this, after my knee injury last Feb. So let me say I am BACK, stronger and faster than before !!!!
 
Directly from Schruns I went on with my buddy and mentor Flo Örley to the Red Bull Tribalquest, witch is the first edition of an invitational photocompetion organised by Snowboarder and Nendaz local Alex Coudray. We were split up in team of three, one Snowboarder, one Skier and one Photographer. After two days of bad weather we did some epic shoots on thursday and friday.
We didn't win, but we got some perfect shoots in the pocket and go back home with a smile in the face after days with friends and fun on the mountain. Thats what it is all about, and for me the Tribalquest is just the perfect concept of a freeride competion, for sure!!! cheers to Red Bull and Alex, go on with it!!!

Next week: some shootings and I got a Job as Stuntman!!! for a Hollywood production ;-)

23.2.-11.3. hopefully going to Russia for filming with the Nike ACG Team
